Do most colleges send out physical acceptance letters? I'd imagine that almost all, if not all, colleges notify applicants via email, but don't many colleges send out acceptance letters a week later as well? I sort of want a tangible remembrance of my acceptance (if I get in)

My son received snail mail acceptance letters from all his colleges 2 years ago. :)

Colleges generally send out letters which usually arrive after decisions are given on-line. I assume eventually even that mailing will be eliminated.

That’s sort of a yes, but …

The acceptance letter in many cases is also a marketing tool to assist the new admit into choosing ChoiceU.

Both my sons were accepted by the same school, six years apart. The difference in the acceptance mailing was substantial. The most recent acceptance came in a very impressive 4-color cardstock folder with all kinds of information and stuff. S1 got a very nice letter, on plain white paper with a return coupon.
