Physical Education requirement and dance

Let's say I get accepted ^^

I know Midd requires all students to take two credits of P.E. I also saw they have a kind of beginner's dance class.

I can't dance. Like literally, I suck. But I would like to learn, at least a little, and to get some more control over my body. It's been one of my silly dreams for a while. Would it be completely idiotic of me to take a dance class? Are they only for people that have dance experience, but not enough to take harder classes, or can beginners survive with ok grades? I'm not going to be a good dancer, ever, could I still get a good grade?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I had to post because I'm so with you! I can't dance for my life... So maybe if we both get in I'll see you in dance lol.

You'll enjoy it.

frogger_1234, we'lll suck together, but we'll have lots of fun while doing it ;)

haha i can't believe there are others like me out there. it's not like i've ever been into dance as a career or any huge time committment, but i used to dance when i was 8 and i loved it - i hope the dance class is open for beginners! and i hope it's not just the usual ballet, tap, jazz - i want some hip-hop and modern!

When I was a student at Midd I took a dance class that was more about the study of movement and about getting "in touch" with your body. It was a great class and helped me with all sorts of physical activities, including skiing, and exercise. I really learned a lot in that class AND I got PE credit for it.

urbanslaughter, that's pretty much what i want to do. i hope they still give that class, it sounds perfect.
