Physics Honors or AP Microeconomics

I'm interested in taking Ap Microeconomics next year, but I have to sacrifice Physics for it. The mian problems would be:
-No Science Senior year
-For the Subject SAT class, I would probably have to do Chemistry or self-study

However, i would rather take microeconomics over physics. I was just hoping to get some insight from you guys, whether or not this is a good idea. Thanks.

No, physics is super important. Well, it depends on what do you want to be and what kind of school you’re applying to

Have you already taken physics? If not, you must take it. Top colleges REQUIRE one year each of chem, bio, and physics for admittance.

Physics is important if you are looking at top tier schools. Physics is more important than AP Microeconomics. I would recommend taking Physics or testing out of it (for the credit for colleges) unless you truly love microeconomics.

Oh, well I haven’t taken physics as an entire course (there was some very basic stuff during Freshman year, but I don’t think it would count for anything). I don’t care about science all that much in general, which is why I’m having this debate right now. I was thinking about going into Business. As for colleges, I am applying to some Ivy leagues and MIT (which I would imagine would really screw things up if I don’t take Physics), but I don’t think I’m getting in anyways. Other than that, there’s like Boston College and Northeastern that I might apply to. All the other ones, such as UConn, UMass Amherst + Lowell, and OSU, would be on the lower end. Of course, this is just a tentative list and so I might change it later. Ultimately, would top tier schools only be Ivy Leagues and schools similar to it (such as MIT, Stanford, and UChicago) or do are more Top tier colleges? (I’m currently looking at the US News list of colleges, so if you have a specific ranking that corresponds to Top tier, then I might have a better picture.)

For Physics, I might be able to take a half-year Virtual High School course, but I don’t know if I’m too late or they won’t let me do it because they already offer Physics at my school. Is there any other way of “testing out” of Physics or just showing colleges that I know Physics?

And thanks so far guys, hopefully I’ll be able to make a decision by the end of the weekend.
