I'm a current high school sophomore equivalent studying in Australia looking to apply to Wharton ED in 2016. I am currently faced with the choice of picking either Physics or Economics for my junior year commencing January 2015 so I would like to know if Wharton prefers Physics (regarded more rigorous here) or Economics, which is related to business however is generally regarded as a less rigorous/difficult course. Despite my preference for Economics over Physics, I am reasonably confident that I would be able to do quite well in both so the only consideration is: Which subject would be better for Wharton? Thank you in advance :)

I have also read elsewhere on CC that Wharton DOES NOT prefer students to take business courses in high school as they are regarded as less rigorous than say Physics. I am also self studying for the AP macro and microeconomics exam if it is any assistance.

@blu5959, I’d be surprised if there were many responses that differed. You’re already self-studying Econ. Selective schools emphasize rigor. Wharton sees many more applicants with Econ courses than physics. What was the question again?
