physics vs. AP physics vs. AP Chem

My girlfriend would like to have some advice as to which science class to take next year.

She's a science person (really interested in bio and chem), but is really dreading taking physics (whether it be AP or regular.) She took Bio in 8th grade, Earth Science in 9th, Honors Chem in 10th, AP Bio in 11th, and wants to take AP Chem next year, but her guidance counselor called today and told her to take AP Physics becuase it is more attractive on an application. Like I said though, she really does not want to take it.
I looked on Emory's website and checked to see if they suggest that a student take physics and I actually couldn't find any suggestions for any high school classes. My girlfriend is interested in double majoring in Bio and Chem at Emory, and would genuinely like to learn more Chem before she gets to college. However, she could probably do very well in AP Physics, and because her counselor recommended for her to take it, she's still considering it.

Any input?

its definitely a plus on an application to take a physics class...can she possibly take both classes? i did 2 science classes my junior yr, it wasn't too bad, but with bc calc, it definitely sucked up all my time lol. but thats what all my counselors at my high school said, that taking a physics class, whether it be ap physics or regular is definitely a plus. she could possibly do ap chem and regular physics. i did all the ap science classes, besides environmental science, and ap physics was def the worst for me (i got a good grade, but it was just boring to me)...but i doubt that emory will be really judgemental abt the fact she did chem instead of physics (b/c chem is definitely not taking an easy way out), but for a chem major at emory i think u have to take physics anyways, so it might be better to take physics
