...'till the Pi-day of 2007, around which this year juniors will receive MIT's decisions.

What are your plans for this year to increase your chances/inprove your application?
or maybe you prefer not to care about ^them^, and continue "being yourself"?

I'm just being curious what prospective RD applicants usually do during this time (especially the summer before).

(dont worry-no plagiarism ;) )

For example, if I dont get accepted to SSP this year, i'll continue my sophmore research in nano-particles, hopefully will take a couple of math classes at local college....and also hopefully, will build a time machine to go to may 2007 and find out about how did my application go (along with the what will be on the AP exams) :D jk

You're probably the most boring person I've ever met. Part of me hopes I get rejected in a couple of days so I'm not tempted to go to school with kids like you. If I had a time machine... I wouldn't give a damn about a stupid college

seriously i'm a nerd, but calculating time in pi? hmm...
I hope MIT isn't too nerdy. If I get accepted and it is, I don't think I'll really go there. But then again, rejection always is a possibility.

oh please, the purpose of that post (or thread) was to find out what do juniors that are planning to apply to MIT (or Caltech) do during the last summer (or year).
It was not about time machines. And it wasnt about calculating time in pi's.....I just thought that the time that's left, and the day most ppl hear about their decisions have something in common, but w/e.....

Hey! There's nothing wrong with going to Oregon State U....

It would be nice to go to MIT for Physics. I know there aren't all "nerds" over there and I look past that if there are...When I think of MIT, I think of exploring subjects that I want to delve deeper into because of their beauty...sounds stupid, but I would like it.

I'm kind of a nature-lover/explorer type person and, I don't know, I would really like living in Cambridge and seeing different types of culture.
