Pick some match schools for me pls!

GPA 3.97 UW, Ranking: top 4%, several 5's and 4's on AP tests, ACT: 32, SAT II- pending

I have already selected several schools from the top 20 colleges on the list by USNews.
I have also picked several local public colleges (including UMich)

Can you guys suggest some "match" schools for me?

What are your reaches and safeties?

Several schools from the top 20 colleges on the list by USNews are my reaches

The local public colleges (including UMich) are my safeties.

Btw: I have decent Extracurricular activities, volunteer hours, honors and awards,

Right, but which ones? We need to see what your other schools are like to see what you’re looking for in a school.

Reach: Dartmouth, Northwestern, UPenn, JHU, Cornell, WUSTL, Vanderbilt

Safety: University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, UMich, maybe University of Illinois?

UMich is not a safety with a 25% selection rate. You would be a match, so there’s one.

Take a look at Rochester, Boston University, Emory.

I consider Emory to be a reach school, and it’s in the south so I am not sure…

Any match schools in the Midwest?

Bump 10^char

Are you a junior or a senior? If the latter, I hope you have applied to Michigan already.

possible matches, maybe low reaches (include lacs - not sure you are interested in them) - see these: http://www..com/smallmidwest.asp

We have no idea what you want to major in but: Oberlin, Kenyon, Macalester.

Holy Cross, Bucknell.

Oops, sorry about that link - did not realize it probably constitutes a cc competitor. But, in addition to the school’s Erin’s Dad listed, consider also Notre Dame, Case, Grinnell, St. Olafs, Laurence, DePaul in Chicago, Centre College, Denison. These schools represent a variety of campus cultures and size.

I’ve already chosen Lehigh and RochesterU over Boston College, Wake Forest, and Brandeis, though sometimes I want to switch Lehigh with Brandeis.

UMich isn’t really a safety for anyone. It’s more of a match.

Notre Dame & BC are reaches, folks! :)

Do you need financial aid? If so, do you know if you’d qualify? Do you know if your family can pay it’s EFC?

What will you major in? :)

What are your financial safeties (schools that you can afford out of pocket or thru scholarships/grants that you know you’d get)?

Vanderbilt is in the south as well
