<p>When chosing a major for OSU, will that play a role in admissions? So i guess i am asking is the business school harder to get into than lets say Arts and Sciences when you put it down on the app? Or are they all the same and not considered in admissions?</p>

<p>Pretty sure it doesn't really matter. I didn't even put down a major. You just need the stats.</p>

<p>but you dont actually apply to the business school till after soph yr right, so its just like major of interest right... sorry i just dont want to not get in bc i chose a very tough school at OSU.</p>

<p>Your major is not considered in the admissions process. They admit you to the university, not to a specific college (like Arts and Sciences.) Once you are accepted, you get more details about the specific schools. You are right that some schools, like Business, require you to apply after you've completed some time at OSU; others, like Social and Behavioral Science and Arts and Sciences, for example, admit students directly out of high school. </p>
