Ok, so my current course load for next year is:

AP Calc AB (my school doesnt offer BC)
AP Bio
AP World
AP Gov
Western Lit. Honors
Spanish IV
Physics Mathematically Rigorous (my school doesnt offer AP Physics)

Right now Im debating dropping physics and waiting until senior year to take it. As of right now, I have no free periods which everyone at my school has advised against. In addition to school, I have band after school, a lot of clubs and also practice everyday. Im worried that I wont have enough time for everything. Should I drop physics?

I would if I was you. I go to a school without free periods but if we had them it would really help me with stress.

It’s actually called that?

Probably depends on how difficult your school is, but the fact that you’re on a college site worrying about this schedule in the middle of the summer indicates that you’ll probably be able to handle it.

I had a free period last year (they actually had an established study hall for us IB kids! Still love that teacher!) and everyone in my class who didn’t have it regretted that they missed the opportunity. Even if we didn’t always do work, the opportunity to just relax and de-stress was AMAZING!

Not to mention, if you stay at your school for your free period, you might be able to coordinate with your teachers to meet with them during this time to help with any questions/problems you might have. My BFF and I got to work on labs with our IB Bio teacher and got a lot of extra help.

Halcyonheather: Yes. That’s the official name. The other option is physics conceptual. And my school is 5/73 public schools in the state. Not sure how difficult that would be considered.

Thank you for all of your opinions.
