Pioneer Academics Validity

The link to the program: https://pioneeracademics.com
It is an online research program.

I am already doing a summer program but I think I could fit this into my schedule. It costs $6000, and I get to work one on one with college professors.

I was wondering if this sounds legitimate and whether or not its worth my time. I will for sure ask for some money back because $6k is quite a lot.

I got into their toughest research program, CS, and I plan on majoring in CS. This makes the decision even tougher for me.

Thanks

If you have to pay, especially $6000 (WHAT absurd), it’s probably a scam. Don’t do it. If you want to give yourself a head start studying CS, there are far better online options! Or take an intro class at a local college!

Hi! I just wanted to post here for anyone in the future who’s looking around that the Pioneer Academic program is valid and is a real program. The cost might be a little daunting, but you can apply for a scholarship that would help make it affordable. I was accepted into the program and did not have to pay anything. This research program is truly amazing, and you’ll be able to work along with amazing professors from across the US!! Please anyone considering it know that this isn’t a scam, its just that Pioneer is a bit new and not as well known. If you ever have any questions, PM me!

$6k is a lot, more than most pre-college programs charge for class with room and board.

That said, it seems legit, meaning not a scam.: https://www.questbridge.org/high-school-students/quest-for-excellence-awards/stem

But worth it? You’d have to decide that.

I got a 3k scholarship so I decided to do it. It hasn’t begun, but the past two posts are reassuring.
