My GPA is so crappy. I have no idea how I can fix it at this point, but I guess I can start trying next semester. I want to go to Georgia Tech for computer science. I'll keep in the seven extra points my school adds for weight for honors or AP classes. Just finishing up my second semester as a sophomore:

First semester of freshman year:
Comput/Modern Wrld 94
General Health 99
9th Lit/Comp H 99
Biology H 94
Acc IntegAdv Alg H 89
French 2 83

Second semester of freshman year:
Comput/Modern Wrld 98
9th Lit/Comp H 92
Biology H 94
Acc IntegAdv Alg H 103
Am Govt/Civics 96
French 2 86

First semester of sophomore year:
10thLit/Comp H (not sure, but if the extra credit I did works well) 90
Acc Integ Geom H 87
AP Computer Sci A (not sure, though if I get at least an 88 on the final) 90
AP World History (not sure, but if I did well on the essay I just did and do well on final) 97
Chemistry H (could jump anywhere, though I'm sure at least) 80
French 3 H (not sure at all, but I'd suspect at least) 80

Those all do have the seven points that my high school adds for weight. Again, I want to major in computer science at Georgia Tech. My EC's aren't amazing, though I got into Beta Club, I'm in a service club that goes to a nursing home often, and I'll be the president of the Young Libertarians Club next semester. I have no idea what my SAT will be, though I may take a practice course to do well on it. Next year, I plan on not taking any more French, so I'll likely take two TAG directed studies, where you basically learn something on your own. I'll do a computer science related course and another technology related one where you basically just fix teacher's computers and install various stuff around the school (both of these get me a grade). I'll likely take AP Biology, AP US History, AP Language, and whatever the next honors math class is. I will do a joint enrollment at a local community college in my senior year, like one of my brothers did who also went to Georgia Tech, and get some difficult classes out of the way there.

I’d say you’re GPA is pretty good and your class selection is pretty good too. Your grades slipped a bit sophomore year so make sure u regain them for a strong junior year. You should make sure you do well on your SATs (i’d aim for 650-700 per section to give yourself a strong chance of getting in to GATech). There are a lot of other factors in your admissions process besides statistics however, such as ec’s. Colleges don’t want to see a huge list of some half-involved ec’s, they would much rather prefer a smaller amount of activities that you are heavily involved in. What’s unique about you? What are you going to write your college essay on?

I will try harder next semester, though chemistry will still suck I’m afraid. I’m not sure what is so unique about me other than really enjoying computer science and related fields. Regarding my essay, my brother suggested writing about overcoming adversity.

definitely start taking AP/IB if your school has them, a lot of people get rejected for not having a hard enough schedule (at UGA/GT as well as many other colleges/universities)

No IB at my high school. Also no AP until sophomore year, and you can really only have one (AP World History). I managed to get into AP Computer Science though.

Ok kid, you gotta calm down.
Don’t worry so much as a sophomore or even first quarter junior- just seriously keep your grades up. Don’t slack, okay? That’s all you can do. Take as challenging a courseload as you will be able to take without cracking under pressure or hurting yourself or your GPA in the process. Take the SAT a few times until you break 2050 and SAT IIs in Math II and whichever other subjects you feel confident in.
Calm yourself sophomore, you have plenty of time! I know that I was so so set on a school sophomore and junior year, and now as a senior the last thing I want to do it go to that school!
