Pitt Academic scholarship

My daughter received a letter in the mail congratulating her on being awarded a academic scholarship $10/year for four years, $40K. Is she still eligible for more merit aid or anymore scholarship money?

It depends, engineering might have additional scholarships.

Did you file the FAFSA to see if you qualify for need based aid?

She is going in as a biochemistry major and has made it to the first round of the GAP for medicine process as well as acceptance into the Honors College. We will probably not qualify for need based aid.

Is she instate? If so then she can also apply for Nordenberg Leadership scholarship, and Stamps scholarship (if invited).

No. She is OOS, N.Y.

@dsterns even if you don’t think you will qualify for need-based you should still fill out the FAFSA. Unless you know for a fact, sometimes you’ll be surprised. If you don’t qualify, and you are out of state, that will most likely be the only merit aid you get from Pitt. However, congratulations! It is hard to get merit scholarship, especially that much, at Pitt
