Anyone with any notification of advancing to interview yet? We are still waiting… (impatiently …lol). There is a regular business sized envelope in mail today from Pitt (USPS informed delivery) but think it’s financial aid letter that received online.
Hope we all get positive news soon!
@mom4bear still waiting here as well, and my daughter opened the letter and she said “it’s a financial aid thing”. So I’m guessing it’s just a follow up on the portal updates concerning aid. I was thinking today might be the day but sadly nothing yet!
@AmyBeth68 yes… I was all excited initially when I saw the letter but something shows through which makes me feel financial aid thing… so we wait…
If you haven’t received a letter, that’s a good thing I think.
Doesn’t the Chancellor interview invitation come by email? So make sure they check their emails and spam folder.

Nothing from what I can gather @winky1. At least from my daughter’s end no interview but no denial either.
nothing here either! I’m gonna guess that they’re not sending out “waves” of interviews, since it’s 2/19 and they said we would hear back by March 1st. I’m a bit worried that the hiccup in their application process will make for less people getting interviews than previous years. Good luck to all of you, I hope good news arrives soon!!

I really can’t believe you are all still waiting. No one interviewed yet? Has someone’s kid emailed or called to check up on the process?
I think they said something about March last time they contacted my daughter, I can’t recall the exact date.
Think they said by March 1st? We are still waiting… and waiting… and repeatedly checking email and spam folders…

Waiting by March 1st for an invitation to interview or that you got the scholarship? Just grueling.

I believe everyone should get a notificaton on their status by March 1st. Does anyone know if people were notified earlier last year?
@blue290 Chancellors finalist notifications are SO late this year! Like seriously late. By this time last year there had already been weeks of interviews. I believe my daughter had her snail mail rejection letter from the actual interview by 3/3.
@carachel2 wow I hope this doesn’t affect the number of people getting interviews!
@blue290 it’s so hard to know. I believe there is a new Honors college dean. Sounds like there was also a portal issue since multiple people were asked to re-submit info.
Last year was also unusual in that I believe only ONE Chancellor’s finalist came back on CC to say they were awarded the scholarship. In all the years past, at least 4-5 finalists logged on to say they did receive it.
Historically, many of the kids who were Chancellor’s finalists were also awaiting big decisions on Ivy day. Maybe this is an attempt to wait those kids out and see who is left standing and still interested in Pitt even after Ivy day results? With that said, I would not allow my kid to commit to Pitt yet until you know the outcome here. I don’t think it helps the decision at all and could possibly hurt.
LOTS of possibilities. And of course, none of the above could be factors!
