Hi, I applied to the University of Pittsburgh for the School of Education Exercise Science on Jan 8. I applied as a transfer student and met all the requirements except not having taken two classes. The classes were Intro to Psych and a math class. However, I took AP Psych in high school and also a college level math class through Pitt in high school as well. My gpa is not super strong, but it meets Pitt’s 2.5 requirement. I was a good student in high school (above a 4.0), but fell off a little due to not fitting in to the college I am at. I have expressed a lot of interest in attending Pitt and I was wondering when I should expect to hear back and whether or not my chances are high?
Hi @Hail2Pitt2021, thank you for your expressed interest. I would assume that you will hear back from us very soon since the typical wait time is about 4 to 6 weeks, maybe 8 weeks since this is the busiest time of the year for our office. However, I cannot tell you what your chances are of getting in because I am not part of the Admissions Committee and do not make those decisions. If you want to contact the Transfer Enrollment Services Manager, you are more than welcome to. Her name is Kaley Kilpatrick: kjk100@pitt.edu and she will be happy to answer any other questions you might have.
Good luck
