Greek life is huge in the south but I’m wondering how big it is at Pitt? I know statistically it’s not that big, but what is sorority life really like? How much time does it take up? And also, how much does it cost to be in one?
I am going to be a freshman so I do not know exactly what it’s like but I have talked to a lot of people in greek life.
It’s definitely not big greek life is about 10% of the school maybe a little less. Fraternities have their own housing on upper campus and sororities do not have housing but they all live on the same floor in one of pitt’s housing
(which dorms I do not know). You can pledge first semester of freshmen year if you want and it starts in September when you get to school, there are also those who pledge sophomore year. That is as much as I know! I hope that helps:)
The sororities are housed in Amos Hall in the Schenley Quadrangle (aka the Quad).
