Pitzer or McKenna

Hey guys! I am really interested in joining one of the Claremont Colleges. The universities I think I would really fit in are Pitzer and cmc (but I am not sure) but I am afraid that Pitzer won’t take me to a very good law school or that it’s not academically challenging enough that is why I was thinking about mcKenna especially that I want to study Political Science and, apparently, it is well reputed academically. My first question is: is Pitzer academically good? Is it still looked down on? Which one would be a best match for me? I am someone that is really interested into study abroad programs,I like to have an engaged and active student body with chill vibes, I want to have a friendly community but I don’t want to be in a community that is looked down on and I am academically competitive for both (I hope). Thank you all in advance
PS: I had an interview with a Pitzer councillor yesterday and he clearly liked me. I also really enjoyed the well he presented the school.

Pitzer offers a very good education. No one is stupid there.

Don’t choose your college based on whether or not someone is looking down on you. You will always find someone willing to look down on you. Stand on your feet. Own your educational choices.

Getting into a good law school is on you and your motivation, regardless of which college you attend.

Thank you very much, you are right at this point but how can I know that McKenna isn’t a better fit for me ?

Pitzer would be strong for fields such as psychological, sociology, anthropology and environmental studies. CMC would be strong for government and economics. Both would be strong in some humanities such as English literature.

Pitzer is very liberal, and CMC leans quite conservative. It isn’t likely that the same student would be happy at both.

Alright. Thank you very much for your answers so far ! It really helps a great deal. Last question: Is it true that people at Pitzer are looked down? If yes, why? It’s not to see if I should apply there but just to see what to work on once I’ll get there.

Looked down on by whom? I don’t think the other Claremont students do.
