Pitzer vs Scripps

I have narrowed down my choices to these two lovely colleges, and am wondering if anyone has general input on this difficult choice :///

I’ve known students who have attended all of the consortium schools. Not one had anything bad to say about their experience (other than the caveat of the intensity of HMC). You can take classes anywhere. You get to know students from all. I wish someone better would reply. Maybe this will help.

It’s a matter of fit. If you can elaborate a bit on yourself and what you’re looking for, that would make it easier for people to give helpful feedback. What majors/programs are you interested in? What appeals to you about each school?

I think Pitzer’s career focus is more up my ally as I would love to go into global non-profit work; however the empowerment and confidence that comes with the all women’s experience at scripps, the whole finding and strengthening my voice thing, along with the close-knit, nurturing community there is hard to pass up…

Since cross registration is readily available at the Claremont colleges, you can take advantage of Pitzer’s career focus even as a student at Scripps. My cousin’s daughter graduated from Scripps a couple of years ago, had a wonderful 4 years, and is now completing her doctorate at Northwestern.
