What's the deal with placement tests for Tepper? When do we get them and how do we submit them? Do people recommend not trying on them (like they do at most other schools) as to not be placed into a ridiculous course first semester? Thanks!

I’m wondering the same for DS in SCS. I’m assuming everyone in SCS has done pretty well in math in HS and CAN place higher than the first Calculus class but should they? Or is it a better idea to repeat for perhaps a more thorough grounding than they got in HS as well as an easier time? Actually, I’m wondering the same WRT CompSci and Physics?

This is hilarious. Take the placement exam like a real test. See where it places you. I skipped my first year of calculus as an engineering major and was happy I did. I was able to take more classes I was interested in, and save a lot of money since I wound up graduating a semester early.
