Plan II Decisions

Hey guys! I am anxiously awaiting my Plan II decision, and according to a facebook friend, they have started sending them out! If you get a decision, it would be lovely if you could post it here along with when you applied. Thanks!

I have been admitted! I applied like August 28! I got my packet on Wednesday.

Congrats! Can you tell me a little about your stats / ECs, etc.? My son is interested in Plan II, but is still in HS.

Cheers!

Plan II admissions come through in waves. I have seen people being admitted in November and again in February/March timeframe.

Psywar: My daughter got in and I won’t publish her stats (per her request) but let’s say they are equivalent to getting into an Ivy League school. Plan II for the most part is an Ivy League education without going back East.

Thanks! And sure!

(Not sure how to format these kinds of things, but I’ll give it a go!)

On the SAT: 680 CR, 680 M, 610 Writing
(Not as great as I could have done, but this just proves test scores aren’t the main deciding factor for Plan II)

I am fifth in my class. I think my GPA is around a 3.99 weighted (our weighting system is weird though).

I go to a smaller high school (150 in my class), so we only have 4 AP classes available to us over the four years we’re there. I’ve taken the AP US History and AP World History exams and scored a 4 on both. We have a ton of Pre-AP though and I’ve taken all honors courses available to me.

I’ve been heavily involved with the Band, the Theatre, Student Council, National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, the school tech team, Business Professionals of America, UIL, and some other minor clubs like the spanish club all four years of high school. I’ve done a moderate amount of service and tutor elementary students in math as a job.

And the essays are so incredibly important. I am one hundred percent sure that (along with my width of interests shown above) my essays and my personal statement are what got me in. I hope this answered everything. I’ve never really posted any stats before haha. If you have any more questions, just ask!

Just got admitted today. I turned in my application on October 15th.
SAT: 730M, 770CR, 760W
34/673 in my class with a 5.675 weighted GPA and a 3.93 unweighted.
I’m a Texas resident at a high school that sends a lot of students to UT and to Plan II.

Congratulations to everyone who got in! Thanks for posting, its quite helpful for me at least.

Anyone else?

Anyone hear back today?
