-I have heard it is an extremely prestigious program
-Supposedly graduates of this program often go onto top Med Schools, Law Schools, and a wide variety of other professions.

I have heard that Plan II is a major but how could people in the same major be going to Ivy league Med schools and Law schools!!!???

It almost seems impossible but maybe someone hear knows more than me and can clarify.

It's a great program, I'm in it. It's interdisciplinary and everything you could want to know about the program can be found here:Plan II Honors Program

Only four years late replying to this post. To answer the question, Plan II is an interdisciplinary honors program at the University of Texas at Austin. It is an actual major under the Liberal Arts College. Some people double major in Plan II and something else, while others simply major in Plan II. You have to apply into it when you apply for freshman admission- there is an honors application that has to be completed in addition to the regular application to UT. While in Plan II you take honors liberal arts courses as well as honors science courses. Plan II offers scholarship money to many students. The program is well regarded at UT and the professors who teach Plan II courses are some of the best in the university. It is a small program with about 170 new freshman entering the program each year. It is very competitive to get in. Jennifer Scalora is the Plan II admissions director and she is fantastic.
