Don't think PLAN is a good indicator of PSAT/SAT scores, b/c it's not. I got a 32 in 9th grade on the PLAN, but only a 219 in 10th grade on the PSAT.</p>
<p>PlAN and the PSAT are completely two different tests by the way. Doing well on the PlAN would not indicate well on the PSAT. They test on different things. Anyway, a 219 must put you in at least a top percitile of all test takers, I would consider a 219 a success but then I am an idoit.</p>

<p>^Nope, many private schools give it in 9th grade, although my school is considering stopping administration of it and have 9th/10th/11th all take the PSAT.</p>
<p>And to the poster that said a 219 in 10th grade must be in the top 1%....more like in the top 0.1%...I was just upset after getting a perfect score on the PLAN, and was expecting at least a 230 on the PSAT.</p>

<p>I never took the PSAT because I couldn't make it on the day that it was offered. I wonder what I would have gotten though...</p>
<p>Okay... I am anxiously awaiting the results of the "PLAN" test I took a couple of weeks ago. I do have a question, though. How specific are the "estimated ACT score" ranges? (i.e. range, number of ranges)</p>

<p>I got a 24 on the PLAN and a 32 on the ACT. Therefore, don't worry about a low PLAN score dooming you to a low ACT score. ;)</p>
<p>28 on the PLAN, 28 my first time on the ACT, and 32 my second time. Between the first and second times, I used the Princeton Review book focusing on my science (raised it 7 points!) :)</p>
<p>the PLAN is a VERY poor predicotr of scores. I got a 23 my first time b/c i panicked on the math and left 20-30 blank while getting a good 5-10 wrong. after that i was so mentally exhausted that i got a 22 on the reading and a 21 on the science. anyways, my prediction for actual ACT was 24-28. On my first practice test I got a composite 29 w/out any studying. so dont take it too much to heart. the PSAT is a better predicor unless you totally fail on one sectipon (which I did - Math, we are real;ly not well prepped in myu school nor am i such a math guy).</p>
<p>People don't seem to realise... (Such as post 37 and 39) The PLAN test score ranges from 1-32. The ACT score ranges from 1-36. This explains many discrepencies and other "miracle" stories of people getting much better scores on the ACT.</p>
