I know that portfolio is totally different compared to grades or other requirements, but I am looking for film schools to apply to and was wondering if I should use this video as a part of my portfolio. Its a music video, and it runs for about five minutes. Anyone with any experience in applying to film or arts school or anyone with an opinion regarding the video, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

My S submitted video in his portfolio several different ways. Many schools had a way to submit the portfolio online including video but there were size/time limit. Others allowed him to send a link to a web page or youtube video. Last, some asked that he send his video on cd/dvd. In the online and cd/dvd options, the tough part was the format. I know he had to do some conversions of his flash video to other formats and it was a headache. Read the directions carefully and when in doubt call the department or school to confirm about video format and file size.
