Planning on transferring from Biochemistry to Mathematical Biology

I am a sophomore at the University of Houston. As you can tell, I am currently in the Biochemistry major. I’m thinking of transferring and mathematical biology looked a bit interesting. I was trying to research and find out what exactly mathematical biology is. I tried up looking prospective jobs and their salaries, but nothing is showing up

I think you are referring to computational biology/bioinformatics. It is basically an intersection of biology, math, and computer science. There aren’t a lot of schools that offer it as an undergrad major, but there are a number of grad programs.

PS. It’s a recent STEM development, so 95% of the relevant jobs that you are trying to look up haven’t even been created yet.
