Plans For March 10th

The notification may come a day earlier in some schools’ cases. (Or a day later, too) Usually when the school sends a notification in a snail mail, that could happen (in most cases came in earlier). My son’s came in when he was at his school.

Wish everyone all the best!

My mom will be at work until 7 that night. She’s already given us the green light to open letters and text her the results.

Do schools really put a lot of time into making sure they all come in on March 10th (the ones by snail mail)? I can’t imagine that they can time them so perfectly (those being delivered across the country as opposed to those being delivered 400 miles down the road) …

@freshlook: Apparently, yes. Keep in mind too that many schools are migrating to online notification so that makes things a lot easier.

Our school’s spring break begins at noon on the 12th, so lots of assessments/projects due the 10th and 11th, which means ZooBoy will be at school, gnashing his teeth and wringing his hands, I am sure. We’ve already been instructed not to open any emails or go to the mailbox until after school that day.

He-he: Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, March 9, so we all have to wait ONE HOUR LESS!

:)) That’s great news. One less hour after waiting for 50-something days… That’s a relief

@gingerella You literally just made my day!

I’m going to check my email in the morning before I leave the house for one school, but the others arrive the mail.

The school that sends by email is my top choice, so if I don’t get into that school I am barely going to concentrate during the day… and I’ve got activities right after school on Monday, so that stinks.

Actually, regardless of my decision for my top choice school, I’m not going to accomplish much that day at all.

We’ve got two more Mondays after today, and then it’s March 10th! Feels so close but so far…

Anything to make you feel at ease, kids. It is only the date and whatever it brings, you will appreciate it later on:).

That is true, but still. It’s hard waiting for a decision that important. Although there will always be a tomorrow, going to those schools would be a great help.

lol im forcing my dad to text me M10 results the minute he gets them…

plus i have a field trip that day so… lets just say ill subtly be going to the “bathroom” a lot

I’m an international student so my results come at night instead of the morning! I will be shaking during every class and running back home to see my results. It’ll be nervous day!

I unfortunately am being forced to go to school and I have a rehersal after school until 7 that day. AND my school gets horrid reception so I can’t have my parents text me the news

@newyorkerr I am trying to get my parents to schedule a dentist or doctors appointment on M10, they aren’t really feeling the idea though.

@squashisawesome even if I did so that I would still have to go BACK to school for my mandatory five hour rehearsal. I will be so distracted that day though, I don’t even see the benefit of actually going to school.

I have a Mock Trial competition that day so the stress is gonna be overwhelming :frowning:

@newyorkerrr How about staying home until 12? You could get all of your email results and depending on what time your mail comes, you’d get your letters. Then, you could go to school for the afternoon and go to practice

@prepschoolhopes that’s actually a great idea! I wouldn’t get any of the letters bc my mail comes late but I would get all the emails which is ideal! Thank you so much I’m going to bring that up to my mom!
