Hi! I would suggest taking SAT one more time if you can to raise your math score because its a little on the low end of the range they want. Also since its summer get more volunteering in because just tutoring isnt enough. Im not so sure about early decision mostly because of test scores but its good if you have had a rigorous schedule
Chance me back please!

You have to get your weighted GPA to a 4.1 and you should have a chance. Everything else is really good.

Thanks! I’ll chance you back, sure; what would you suggest for volunteer opportunities that are kinda “academic-y”? Like, things like tutoring, but slightly different…things that don’t involve tedious tasks or generally boring work.

I agree with getting your GPA and SAT both up a smidge. What are you applying as? You should tailor your ECs to match your major (if you have an idea what you want to do). From your profile, you strike me as both science and business-y. Your ECs are good, just a little scattered. A bit more direction would help for UPenn, which has a pre-professional focus for an ivy. Your stats are good enough to be looked at, but your profile doesn’t have that punch of wow factor. A little more focus and a focused out of school EC would help tremendously! Chance back at: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1518278-updated-chances-ivies-second-ivies-publics-will-chance-back.html

Well actually I think it would be better for you do volunteering that is not academic oriented. UPenn especially is really big on helping the community and how you could make society better as a whole. Try volunteering at a Nursing home or soup kitchen for the summer.

Hm, fair enough about the other volunteering–I just wish there was something nonacademic that I found engaging enough! :stuck_out_tongue: I’m all “bettering the community” in general, but it’s just not my thing personally… ((And I’ll chance everyone back soon!))
