Playing a sport and not being close to home

My D is across country in college and playing her DIII sport. I too watched EVERY single game of her pre-college career (5th-12th grades) and only got to see two games in person this first-year season (at a tournament in Florida) but got to see many of her games online via webcast. You might get lucky there!!!

I thought I would check in as its been a bit of time since I first posted here.

The good news is my son did eliminate one of the “plane ride” schools. He has a visit coming up that should be our only plane ride of the college search. I think it will be a waste of time as far as adding the school to his list unless he feels major, major love from the coaches. But, from an experience point of view, I think I will feel that it was still OK to do.

So, it looks like at this point, we could be traveling from less than an hour to up to 6 hours to see a sporting event if this all turns out to be a real opportunity for him.
