Pleas help! Advice about SAT IIs

I am a sophomore registered to take SAT IIs in World History (because I'm in AP Wld) and Chemistry. The problem about taking Chem is that I am NOT in AP Chem, and wont be taking it until senior yr (and i figured i wouldnt have enough time/knowledge b4 admissions deadlines)

My friends tell me its a waste; and my chem teacher told her that "its not for us".

Please somone, set the record straight- can i take the SAT II with only honors chem background (and score 700+) ?

college board and some other sites say frosh/soph can "take SAT II's after they have finished taking the subject, i.e. Bio, Chem, History.
Anyways, the only things I may have to self-study are Organic Chem and Chemical Equilibrium

SAT II chem is NOT meant to require a background in AP chemistry. Honors chemistry should be sufficient.

I think you should take it.
There's little to teach in organic chem, and a lot in chem equilib.
But I think its manageable.

I think you should take AP Chem before taking the SAT II Chem test...that's just me tho

You should take Math 2 if you haven't though
