Can you afford 72k per year? If not, what would you do if you get accepted to NYU with no financial aid or merit scholarships?

UT Austin looks at class rank rather than GPA. What’s yours?

UC schools use a different type of GPA. Check here to find out yours and let us know what it is. http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

CMU is a reach
USC reach
Northeastern high match
Boston College Reach
NYU high match
BU reach
IU Low Match

Hey thanks for the reply. I can handle the price of NYU if I get accepted.

My school doesnt calculate class rank so I have no idea.

My UC uncapped is around 4.3 and capped is 4.1. Thanks

It’s great that you have all those internships. If your ACT ends up being a 34, then your chances will definitely be better because it’ll put you to be above average/75% rank for most of the mentioned schools. Using your current ACT & GPA, I believe:

NYU - low reach (getting into Stern is extremely difficult, and your GPA is 25% rank; a 34 would increase your chances as many Stern applicants score around that or higher)
BU - high match (your GPA is more or less average; your ACT is slightly above average on a range of 27-31)
USC - low reach (your GPA is merely above 25% rank; your score is 75% rank on a range of 28-32 but USC is very competitive as well)
UCLA - low reach (your UC GPA is all right; your ACT is 75% rank on a scale of 25-33 but UCLA is a reach for many as it is a tough admit)
UCSD - high match (ACT is above average)
UCD - match (ACT is above average but higher acceptance rate than UCSD & UCLA)
BC - low reach
Northeastern - high match

You seem like a competitive applicant if you get your score to a 34.

Good luck.

You you will definitely make it to CMU Tepper! All the best

New updated ACT score is 35. Does this change anything?

So did you get it?
