Please chance a transfer to UF from USF

<p>My record is somewhat odd. I had a lot of things happen in my freshman year and I did horribly. However, since then, I've done really great, and I'm hoping that it looks like a sort of very bad to very good scenario.</p>

<p>Roughly 7 course withdrawals and a "D" littering my first year, but after that, i've retaken the "D" and have since then taken 12 credits in the summer, 20 credits in the fall, and now 20 credits again, all with a majority of "A"'s and some "B"'s. </p>

<p>I'm applying as a Philosophy major for the Summer B term.</p>

<p>HS GPA (Does it really matter?): 3.8 weighted
GPA: 3.56
EC: Philosophy Organization
Society for Classical Pragmatism Studies
College Democrats</p>

<p>Also, should I send a letter or something explaining the massive amount of course withdrawals in my freshman year?</p>

<p>anybody? also, I filled out the letter of intent for CLAS transfers and explained the situation with the W's and the D. Hopefully that should help</p>

<p>You transferred with a 3.5 GPA? Is that 3.5 your cummulative trnsfer GPA? Did you ever get in? I am just like you, applying as a philosophy major for summer B :/</p>
