High School: Public, has only sent 2 students in the US ever, both with a scolarship from Romania;</p>

<p>Grade Average: 10 in freshman and sophomore year, 9.93 in junior year, at a scale from 1 to 10, with 5 as passing grade</p>

<p>Class Rank: 1 or 2 (our school does not rank)
Class Size: around 250</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
National Organization Romanian Scouts (11 and 12: 30 weeks per year plus this summer);
Preparing for chemistry olympiads by myself(9,10,11,12);
Math Excellence Center (the town's team for the math contests and olympiads) (9,11: about 10 weeks per year);
Scientific Circle "Rusidava" (a kind of literary circle, but it's based on science, especially math) (late 11,12);
Member of the biology research project "Investigating nature's secrets", whose aim is to classify all the plants from our town and surroundings (planned for 6 months, starting June this year);
Student council (12);
School's Christmas carol choir (9,10: 5 weeks per year);
Plan to start a kind of club next year, where I can teach younger students some more advanced chemistry and prepare them for the olympiads, but I don't expect too many members since there are few students interested in chemistry in my highschool;
Plan to teach environment protection to kids from middle school next year</p>

<p>Leadership positions: I don't have any title in my ECs because there are no such titles, but I am really involved in all of them .</p>

<p>Work: Avon sales representative for 4 years (the papers were on my mother's name because I wasn't 18, this school year I plan to make the papers on my name)</p>

bronze medal for chemistry at the international olympiad "Tuymaada", Russia, in 2006;
mention at the national chemistry olympiads in 2005 and 2007; I was in the national top 10 for my age level (9 and 11 grade);
special mention at the national chemistry olympiad in 2006 (10 grade);
1st prize every year at the regional chemistry olympiad, 2nd prize in 9 grade at the regional math olympiad;
some minor prizes at a few math contests in 9 and 10 grade.</p>

<p>I suspect the top schools you mention may be a reach for you--although not completely out of the question. A possibly more realistic choice for you would be Mount Holyoke--they have an excellent reputation in Chemistry and are very committed to strong international representation- Scholarship awards would be a definite possibility. You might also look at Brandeis University-- also a good science reputation.</p>
