but there is stuff I havent mentioned
Oh well, Ill hope for the best!

All these views and no posts?!? Help me out here!

Everyone around here is pretty worn out by the chance threads I think. Many who’ll get accepted will have better grades and/or scores than you, and a good number won’t.

You’re involved in a good number of things, and the key is to sell some given attribute of yours that’s really out there, i.e. that would make you seem very valuable. For instance, if you really show how into the given engineering field you are, then that’s quite a good thing.

Other than that, what else can people really tell you!

Ive noticed that a lot of the posters of chance me threads on the Stanford board tend to make mention of the fact of whether or not they’re OOS, when no one mentions this in their chance threads for HYPM. Stanford isn’t a public school, therefore, whether or not you’re OOS doesn’t matter.

Just an interesting phenomenon I felt like pointing out…cause it’s 12am and I have nothing better to do.

Duely noted. Much obliged.

Yup, good point about OOS. I forgot to mention that, was going to as well.

All I can say is that if you make sure your test scores are high, and continue getting good grades, you should have your shot. You’re definitely doing some good things with your time, and appear to have some direction, which will take you somewhere no matter where you end up…and generally it’s such a kind of person who even has a shot at top schools.

Awesome. Yeah, i have to work so hard to get quality ECs because sports take up so much dang time! my lacrosse coach (satin) held practice 3 hours during weekdays (4-7) and 4 hours on weekends…and illegally we held practices on sundays (shhhh, dont tell). Squeezin in other stuff is hard. not to mention keeping my grades high .

Thanks for the direction mathboy

You have a good chance, but you should take a prep class for the SAT and/or ACT to raise your scores. You should definitely try the ACT as some people score much better on one compared to another.
