ECs include Boy Scout Senior Patrol Leader, Class president (only 1 year), acting, singing, and altar serving.

As for APs, I have a 5 in World History and will take US History and Literature this May; if all goes well I take Calculus, Eng. Lang, Biology, and CompSci next year.

I am confident I can get good recommendation letters and my essay writing skills are fairly strong.

So, what do you think? Do I have a shot at Georgetown?

First off, of course you have “a shot.” The question is whether you would be considered a strong applicant within the applicant pool. The answer is probably “no.” Your SATs and ACTs, while certainly strong by most standards, are unimpressive within the GU applicant pool, so I would not be “optimistic,” whether “cautiously” or otherwise.
As of right now, GU is a reach for you; not necessarily out of reach, but a reach. If you like the school (and there’s lots to like), of course you should apply, and you should try taking those tests (at least one more shot at each of the SAT and ACT) before you apply.
Good luck!

I disagree with WCASParent. I think that the SAT and ACT scores, while they are very good, are less important than other pieces of your application. I think you should work on trying to find some extra curriculars that reflect your interest in Arabic and Linguistics.

^^Extracurriculars that are added late in high school tend to make less of a positive impression on AdComms, as the motivation for getting involved in them is regarded as pretty transparent.
