bumppppppppp

???

There’s really no way of knowing until you get your decision. Admissions at selective schools are unpredictable…they can pick and choose who they want, and many qualified students will not be accepted. It’s just how it goes. Here on CC we aren’t admissions officers and we don’t see what they see. I know you’re just curious…I’m curious if I’ll be accepted at the schools I applied to, too.

I’m curious…how did you predict your ACT score?

.

Oh, I’m a junior :stuck_out_tongue: So I haven’t applied to any of these schools yet.

Yeah, so now’s the perfect time to decide which ones you will apply to. I would invest a college book, (I prefer the Fiske Guide), to read up on your schools. Fiske’s is great because it tells of each school’s best programs and such. CC is also a great source to read up on, but be aware that some people are very biased on here. Also visit schools!!! I know Kenyon college offered a travel grant that I was awarded that covered most of the cost of a plane ticket for me to fly out there, but the only times I could fly out were on weekends, so I never ended up using it. If you don’t want to miss school, I know most schools will offer at least tours on weekends. Also get interviews. They aren’t scary!!! Also get in touch with current students and don’t be afraid to ask questions. I know it may seem like a lot with all of your AP’s, but check out scholarships, too. I wish I had done more of that a year ago.

Alright  Thank you for the advice! It’s very much appreciated.

I was sort of hoping to get opinions on my chances of getting into the above schools though. Anyone?

I would say that you have a chance at most of them, but realize that Ivies (Brown) are reaches for everyone. Check out this page to give you an idea about your first choice, in case you haven’t seen it:

[Admission Facts | Undergraduate Admission](<a href=“Undergraduate Admission | Brown University”>Undergraduate Admission | Brown University)

There was a page that had more stats on it, but I can’t find it.

Thank you so much for all of your help :)

Oh and I took a practice ACT and got in the high 20s, but I’m starting a course soon so I should get a few points higher.

Excellent!!

I hate when people just assume they are going to get a certain test score…

Well I’m not assuming I’m going to get that score, but when I do well on practices without preparing and I’m taking a pretty good prep course, you can guess that it will go up a few points…
