THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Being ED definitely demonstrates interest but you might want to consider visiting campus this fall to get a feel for what to expect. At the same time, kill two birds with one stone and do an interview on-campus with an admissions rep. GW loves to see interest. I visited campus, interviewed and with ED I was admitted with around the same statistics as you for the class of '17. I’d say you have a good shot of getting in. But your Critical Reading Section on the SAT is pretty low for GW. If the CR score has improved from the first time you took it, you should study and retake. Your Math and Writing sections are really strong. SAT2’s if I remember are not mandatory but for some courses you need to score above a certain threshold as a pre-requisite. Message me if you have more questions.

Thank you so much for your response!! I have visited the campus in the Spring and I really loved it. Yeah, my Critical Reading Section is what worries me the most. I am planning on taking the SAT one more time in October. Around how many points should I be raising this to? Please let me know!

2100 -2200

okay thank you!

I would say you have a pretty good shot, especially since you plan on applying ED. I applied RD and got accepted and I had very similar stats as you for both the SAT and gpa. If you were to take the SAT again, make sure to focus on the reading section only to try to get it up to a 600+. Since they superscore, it doesnt matter what you get on the other sections. Also, make sure this is definitely the school you want to attend if you are applying ED, because with those stats, you definitely have a shot at RD as well.

thank you so much!!
