Please chance me for Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Cornell, UChicago?

Hi anyone who reads this - I’m a current senior in the middle of college application angst and I’d just really like to know if I should start preparing myself for the rejection letters or add more safeties to my already too-damn-long list of schools I’m applying to. Better safe than sorry, right?

GPA (out of 4.0): School doesnt rank, 5.24 on a 5.0 scale (where ap’s are weighted as 6’s)

AP (place score in parenthesis): (Oh boy these were an L) Lang - 5, Lit -5, APES -5, AP Bio - 5, APUSH - 4, Calc BC -3 (also sick that day), Physics 1 - 3 (self studied rip). Will be taking AP art, stats, macro, chem this year.

Major Awards: lots of DECA stuff, 3rd place at state-wide research competition, art in permanent collection of state art museum, art published in alot of lit mags and most notably, Rookie, national merit, ap scholar w distinction, national french contest level 3 bronze, Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge - Earth & Environmental - Semifinalist

Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): a lot of biology research, founder & president of first hs aclu chapter in state, biology teaching assistant, editor of school lit mag, editor of yearbook, committee head of tedx at school, director of communications for an environmental nonprofit, founder and president of an environmental club, taught seminars on civil rights and asian-american issues, camp counselor and volunteer at nature museum, volunteer at library

Job/Work Experience: a heck ton of bio research (like 4 projects, 3 papers, 1 poster lmao), photography business

Rec 3 - Art teacher, drove me to art show (state art museum thing) and had a long talk, helps me alot with photography and painting and other artistic endeavors

I’ve had all A’s and like 3 B’s at a p competitive boarding school, there’s like 13 schools on the list lmao these are just the reach ones

What was your biology research focused on?

Good chances relative to most who apply to these schools, but still all reaches. Write great essays and I could see you getting into a couple of these schools

I did 4 project total so the first one was focused on how the microbiome of starlet sea anemones affected tolerance to temperature stress, the second was on the relationship between a couple of genes and triple negative breast cancer, the third was on the stress responses of halobacteria and the fourth which i’m submitting to regeneron is the mechanisms of microbial influence on drought stress response of radishes
