how bout chances for any of the following? i'm majoring for biomedical engineering so does the fact that i'm not doing ap physics c hurt?
other colleges: princeton, brown, uchicago, duke, washington university st. louis, michigan ann arbor, dartmouth, case western, rice, tufts?

Considering that HPME accepts a very very very few number per year and has a crazy low acceptance rate (it’s much much harder than Harvard to get into), I would say that, like many others, your chances are a very high reach.

RD Northwestern should be a low reach/high match for you.

Good luck.

NWU: Reach (both HPME and regular)
Princeton: Reach
Brown: Reach
Dartmouth: Reach
U Chicago: Reach (pay attention to the essay prompts)
WUSTL: Reach
Duke Pratt: Reach
Rice: High match
Tufts: High match
Case Western: Safety
UMI: Match

NWU HPME: high reach
NWU RD: low reach / high match
Princeton: high reach
Brown: high reach
Dartmouth: high reach
UChicago: high reach
WUSTL: low reach
Duke Pratt: low reach
Tufts: low reach / high match
Rice: high match
UMich: mid match
Case Western: safety

Good luck! :)

so since you would say that brown, princeton, dartmouth, uchicago and a few others are pretty high reaches, do you think it is even reasonable to apply to them? just in case by some 3% chance that i do get in? or do you think i would probs not get any money, or drop out in the end bc its too challenging? my parents said they were willing to pay the app fees and sending score fees, but i’m still not sure bc i guess theres not that huge of a chance of getting into any of them right?
also, for my internship at the boston hospital research lab, do you think it’s worth getting a rec for? it wouldnt be very personal but then colleges would see what i did there and my commitment?

They’re still worth applying…

wouldnt it be a waste of money bc i have such a tiny chance of getting in?
also, how are my chances for WUSTL’s straight med program and case western’s as well?

oh and for emory/georgia tech its like a dual degree so like 5 years at emory probs in biology then 2 years at georgia tech doing bme? but if i wanna be a doctor should i not do that?
