Please Chance me for Pitt

<p>Hi I am a senior in high school and was wondering what my chances for getting into the University of Pittsburgh are.</p>

<p>gpa= 3.3/89% (In my school an A starts at 94%)</p>

<p>Sat= 1850 super-scored- 620 reading 590 math 640 writing</p>

<p>Extra curricular activities include interact and amnesty international clubs, student council (no high position), ski club, football for a year, golf and tennis for a year. Week long mission trip to Ohio over the summer, and some other church related volunteer services.</p>

<p>My grades have increased every year since freshman year because I gradually began applying myself until it was too late. As a senior I have 3 AP classes and a 97% average for my first term.</p>

<p>My application was fully completed by 11/10/10- I know that is kind of late..</p>

<p>I also sent into an email to the admissions stating how I went on a tour and how much I liked it and wanted to go there, as well as why I only have a 3.3 which doesn't reflect my academic ability.</p>

<p>So what are my chances of getting in? Am I too late? I put down my major as undeclared but also put down the college of engineering as my intended school that I plan on attending.</p>

<p>If you have any ideas for the other schools I applied to, (Univ. of Delaware, Penn State, Univ. of Vermont) let me know because I am very worried about getting into any of these colleges as I feel I have little chance. </p>

<p>you probably will get into pitt.
but probably no honors college or anything. i advise you as someone who already got into pitt.
their process is nice, forgiving.
it would have helped your chances greatly though, if you had applied earlier.</p>

<p>Yes I did submit the optional essay (I am a decent writer) and two teacher recommendations, I am also in-state if that helps at all.</p>

<p>You have a decent chance. I have no idea about the turnaround time, I was accepted 9 days after my completed app.</p>

<p>i hope you get in! im applying too. i have a 3.27 gpa with an 1810 SAT and 27 ACT do i stand a chance?</p>

<p>No hate or anything but this is like one of the 5% of Chance threads that aren’t for HYPS. I love you :o And good luck i know nothing about Pitt sorry :(</p>
