<p>Hi guys! I'm new to the CC forum, but from my visits to this website everyone seems so helpful!</p>

<p>I am currently a junior, and I go to a public secondary school (high school and middle school are in the same building)</p>

<p>Here is my schedule and year grades:
(my unweighted gpa is 3.98, weighted is 4.28)
Freshman year:
1) AP Environmental Science and Biology Honors- A
2) Pre-AP World History- A
3) Latin 1- A
4) French 2- A+
5) Algebra 2 and Trigonometry Honors-A
6) English 9 Honors- A-</p>

<p>Sophomore year:
1) Chemistry Honors- A
2) AP World History- A
3) French 3- A
4) Pre-Calculus- A
5) Health 10 - A
6) English 10 H- A
7) Social Science Research- A
8) Studio Art- A</p>

<p>Junior year: (I don't know my year grades yet haha but right now I am maintaing at least an A in my classes)

7) Advanced Social Science Research 2</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Honor Societies: Math, Science, Exemplars, English, French
High honor roll (gpa of 3.7 and above I think)
1) I am student senate representative for the Mock Trial team, and I have been a member since 9th grade. Next year, it's likely that I will be a captain.
2) In student senate, I am the chairperson for the competition clubs committee
3) I am staff editor and treasurer for the school literary magazine
4) I have done varsity cheerleading from freshman to sophomore year.
5) I am a member of the Science Olympiad Team
6) I am a member of the Green Club (we help out our environment hehe)
7) I am a Peer Responder Mentor (I help out middle school students around school, activities, and homework)
8) I am a member of our town's Junior Coalition Against Breast Cancer
9) I am enrolled in Manhattan School of Music's precollege division</p>

<p>Awards/ Recognition:
1) 2012 and 2013 National French Contests: 3rd in County, 9th nationally.
2) 2012 regional science olympiad: 2 silver medals
3) 2013 regional science olympiad: 1 bronze medal
4) New York State Science and Engineering Fair (NYSSEF) Andromeda division 2013: 3rd place in behavioral sciences
5) Passed levels 3,4,5,6,7,8 of the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) examinations with either merit or distinction.</p>

<p>Community Service:
By the end of 2013, I think I will have approximately 90 hours from volunteering at the EOC (Economic Opportunity Center) as well as 20 hours from the junior coalition against breast cancer.</p>

<p>Standardized Test Scores:
AP:
AP World History: 5
AP Environmental Science : 4</p>

<p>SAT II:
Chem: 670
Bio E: 730
Math 1: 760
World History: 780
I plan on taking the Math 2 and Physics tests at the beginning of June 2014.</p>

<p>SAT:
I took the October 5th 2013 one, and got lower than all my practice tests:
2280, 770 CR, 760 W with a 10 on the essay, and only a 750 in Math (:/)
I am retaking it in either december or january, and I hope to get a 2300 or higher (crossed fingers)</p>

<p>so... Sorry for my rambling.. is there any chance of me going to any ivies or tier one's like duke, georgetown,etc...?</p>

<p>IVY League = All reach. You MUST differentiate yourself from the crowd through your essay. One MIT admission officer said that they could fill up entire classroom 2400 SAT students.</p>
