Ahh, so sorry, I meant 4.3 weighted! Also, STEM is a selective science technology engineering and math program that allows students to take harder classes sooner! Thanks!

Honors College Class of 2013 profile
•Interquartile high school GPA: 4.5-4.82
•Interquartile SAT score: 1390-1465
•Interquartile ACT score: 31–33

Hard to know without SAT score, which is CR+M. SAT 2 scores not needed at USC. Essays on honors application heavily considered. You should know all this if your sister is there. If SAT is strong you look like a good candidate especially if you end junior year with higher GPA.

Thank you! Yes, I did know these things from my sister. All As so far this year, so that’s going well. I’ve already started drafting essays for application, I think they will turn out good! Fingers crossed for sat score tomorrow!! @scmom12 I think I remember you from other posts about the honors college, did your child go? What did their high school profile look like when applying? Thanks again!

D is now senior in honors college and loves it. Her HS was nothing special but she did magnet that focused on AP classes (she took 11 including studio art) and senior project. Had high stats and got in lots of highly selective schools but she followed the money and has not regretted it.

An update! It’s been nearly a year, I know, and I starting to apply now! I retook the sat and got a 1510 cr+m, 800 reading 710 math. My gpa, however, has only gone up to a 4.311… I’ve started a big diabetic research project, and got third in region in ocean science. Other than that, everything is the same. I’m really worried about my gpa, do you all think I’ll still be good with ec’s and sat? @scmom12
