Hi guys I just wanted to post this and get an idea if I should work on my stats more to make myself more appealing and competitive.
Stats
Race: Asian, Specifically Vietnamese.
Academic
- School: Quincy College (Community College)
- College GPA: Predicted 3.4-3.7
- Dean’s List
- Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society
- 24 Credits
Activities
- Volunteer wrestling coach for local high school
- Volunteer assistant for law firm
- Children’s volunteer wrestling coach (High school)
- Tri-athlete (High school)
- Wrestling captain (High school)
I don’t know if I should add the high school EC cause I took a gap year.
Work
- Security guard for SEB Security
- Sales Associate at PUMA
Both spanned for at most 3 months at least 2
Recommendation letters and Academic Evaluations
- Instructor from Northeastern University (Rec Letter)
- Volunteer employer (Rec Letter)
- Wrestling coach who I am doing volunteer work with (Rec Letter)
- English Professor at Quincy College (Ac Eval)
As of right now this is all I can think of, 3/4 of these are already done and set and I really want to get opinions, and if it gives a general basis of where I started I had a 1.9/5.0 GPA in high school and horrible SAT scores. I heard that some schools like students that did horrible in high school and had an epiphany then became these amazing students when they went to community college I don’t know if this is entirely true. I really want to aim high or at least something my parents can brag about.
Thanks!
