Okay so...I took honors classes during my freshman and sophomore year, but did not take any advanced classes at all during my junior year. It's something I really regret. But this year (senior year), I am taking three AP classes (AP Calc, Stats, and English) which hopefully helps a little bit.
I did terribly during my freshman year (GPA of 3.2..yikes), but each semester my GPA steadily began to increase. I got straight A's in my soph and junior year.

I've been told I have a very strong personal statement. I wrote it about how I overcame my Tourette's Syndrome, and am heavily relying on my essay. I can even send you my personal statement if it will help me with my chances.
I wrote my short response about going to Kenya and connecting with the high school students there through education.

Below are my EC's exactly as how I listed in the app

anyways, what are my chances? Thanks! And I will chance you back if you ask!

@saaappp‌

Hello! Congratulations on finishing your application.

I think you have a great chance.
I would be surprised if you were not accepted.
You have great test scores, ECs, and an above average GPA.
UW takes a holistic approach when reviewing applications; therefore, a well rounded applicant is better than someone that only has a strong test score or GPA.

Good luck!
I included my stats from last year to give you a perspective of what UW may/may not be looking for.

-Male/Korean American
-2200 SAT 700R 700M 800W
-3.85 UW GPA
-7 IBs
-700+ Community Service Hours
-3 Year Varsity Wrestling
-4 Year JV/Varsity Football
-Swim Team Captain for 3 Years
-ASB and Key Club VP
-School/District Math Champion (2 Years)

@GoDawgsCo018 Thank you so much! My biggest concern more than anything is the fact that I did not take any AP’s until this year…how much do you think this will affect me? I am praying that my EC’s and personal statement could outweigh that, but still

@saaappp‌

You’ll be fine, you have nothing to worry about.
I’ve heard rumors about how UW only accepts students with a heavy AP/IB course load, but that’s false.
Of course it’s nice to see someone committed to working hard throughout HS, but UW understands that AP/IB classes do not define ones academic abilities.
I took the majority of my IB classes senior year (5/7).
From personal experience, the personal statement portion is what makes it or breaks it for many applicants.
My sister applied to UW in 2010 with no AP/IB classes, and was accepted. However, she wrote one of the best essays I have ever read.

@GoDawgsCo018 Wow, awesome! Thank you so very much. Your simple response has actually made me less worried/anxious. Have a great day!
