Will being asian help as I am applying to LAC's that have little amount of asains.?
Also, I plan doing ED for one of the LAC's. Please chance me, and thanks!

I’d say youre pretty safe on those first choices but BU might be somewhat of a reach. If you get those SAT scores up and have great essays, you have a pretty good chance at all those schools.

Please chance back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1099372-chance-me-usc-nyu-university-miami-uc-santa-barbara-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

Thanks…You think that BU is harder than those LAC’s?

Opinons about running times, any possibility of getting recurited?

In all honesty I don’t know much about LAC’s (I had to look up what they were) but I do know quite a bit about BU and it’s a pretty selective school. Close to the NYU, U of Miami range. Also, running times are pretty good but it’s pretty hard to get recruited. Just try to improve that 3 mile, that seems to be your strong point and you definitely have a shot. ! mile is nothing impressive but the 1000m is pretty good.

If you are are a girl, then you could probably get recruited…if you’re a guy, probably not, lots of guys are running sub 4:20 miles, and 15-16 3 miles.

Yes, I am a male=[ , I was considering D3 track and field…and thought that I seemed to be in the middle of the team, in terms of time.
Or, does my decidation to track, at least make me more competitve, for admission process, even if I am not recruited?

I am most interested in Connecticut College, for Early Decision. Chances, on this specifically, that would be great.

Bucknell would be hardest to get into in my opinion, but I’d say youre in everywhere.

Just going off SAT scores, Id say your in the range for Connecticut College. Here they are from the website:
SAT- Reading: 650-740
SAT- Math: 630-710
SAT- Writing: 660-740
Also being a first generation college student will be helpful. Good luck!

Thanks. Are you applying to the little ivies as well?
Is admissions much harder, as I need financial aid?

There is 4-5% asian in these schools, any effect?

hey! just looking at your scores and resume, i’d say you won’t have any problem getting into dickinson. i know it has a really great study abroad program if that’s something you’re interested in. good luck!

Your schools in the “also” section are all matches. Bucknell ed would really help, but from the above information that doesn’t seem like a possibility. However, even without ed I still believe you have a great shot due to your SATs being in at least the top 20%.

Good list. The above poster is incorrect- Lafayette, Bucknell, Connecticut College, are more selective than BU. Trinity about equal, Syracuse less selective. I think you’ll get in to most. If Conn is really your favorite, apply ED.

Yeah, thanks for clarification. I knew Lafayette is very competitve.

Will colleges look a lot more at my Junior grades and what senior classes I will take vs my low freshman grades…?

I am considering Dickinson as well…

Your freshman year grades are your only low point but if oyu explain what was going on I think you’ll be great. The only schools I know a lot about are Bucknell, Syracuse, and a little about Connecticut College. Depending on what school you’re applying to you’re into Syracuse and I think you have a great shot at Bucknell and Conn College. Good luck!

Chance?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1095441-holy-cross-d.html</a></p>

I would say, based off your stats, you’re definitely in BU, as in first choice. I don’t know much about the rest though.

I think ConnCollege is a good fit for you. I know several people that go there and love it! I think that you are looking at schools well in your range, you should get in to most of them. If the schools do have a minority of asians, that should be an advantage, but I know that at many schools, being asian can be a hindrance in getting accepted. Anyway, good luck!

Chance me back?

Not sure about other colleges but in for BU, Bucknell, Lafayette, and Syracuse.

Conn is a good match :)
