I'd say you're almost definitely in at most of those schools, except Stanford. Brown may be a bit of a reach. I only say Stanford is a reach because, well, nobody gets into Stanford haha. But yeah, you've done great and I think you have good chances. By the way, thanks for chancing me.

And for anyone else on this thread who wouldn't mind chancing me, please do!

Hey, thanks so much for chancing me and thanks for that really thorough paragraph :) I really appreciate it!

you have really good scores, GPA, and a lot of awesome ECs (YAY MUSIC! -- cello. i wanna learn cello sometime in this lifetime)

Michigan - you're in. in-state, great student.
Uchicago - i'm not sure if they do different admit processes for different majors, but I say it's a high match for you.
Brown - a medium reach, but you're in range with everything. you just have to sit back and let the admissions people do their part.
Northwestern - a high match/low reach
Stanford - a reach. again, you have what it takes. just sit back and relax and write a good essay.
MSU - definitely a safety

hey! your numbers are really good! i think you are a great candidate for a lot of those schools.
umichigan and michigan state are safties
uchicago, brown, northwestern-high match/low reach
stanford- depends on luck! haha

Thanks for looking at my thread, and I'd love to chance you.

For the most part though, I can only agree with everyone else. Of course Stanford and Brown are still reaches, because that's undeniable for anyone. I think you have very good odds at your other schools though.

thanks for chancing me but like srgirl i can't really help too much. I would think you have a good shot at most, with Brown and Stanford being reaches (Stanford maybe more so?)

UMich - High Safety/Low Match (i would say safety, but it's UMich were talkin)
U of Chicago - High Match (it's all about essays here)
Northwestern - Match
Brown - Reach
Stanford - Reach

Hey thanks for chancing me...I was waiting for a while for someone to chance me. I made a new, slightly modified thread...hopefully more people will chance me. The info for UMich was very helpful, I will keep all of it in mind when I apply for colleges. Also, you said you were unfamiliar with Babson. It is a school right outside of Boston that specializes in business. It has the nation's #1 entrepreneurship program for 15 years straight.

Anyways, onto your chances. You have incredible EC's and test scores, which will definitely increase your chances.
UMich - Match
UChicago - High Match (be sure to work on your essays)
Brown - High Match
Northwestern - High Match
Stanford - Low Reach/High Match
MSU - Safety Match

"Everything looks great, but you need to realize that economics is probably the toughest major to get into at Stanford. And they pick people not just on academics, but also on athletics, contacts, future fame for the school, etc.
(For example: Are you aware that Mike Mussina, the starting pitcher for the New York Yankees, graduated with an economics undergraduate degree from Stanford?, Are you aware that Tiger Woods was also an economics major at Stanford?)" -Calcruzer

that's true, but mike mussina was just a test away from being valedictorian at his school (his parents think he purposely messed up on a test so he wouldn't have to speak at graduation) aaannddd he graduated with his degree in 3 1/2 years.
