Common App Essay was really good talked about my experience shadowing a patent attorney since that is my career path.

Have you taken chemistry and physics? Any science AP courses? Forensics may be lots of fun and interesting, but it’s probably not good prep for engineering.

Yes I have taken Chemistry, Physics, Trig (all final grades above 95)…we don’t have AP we have IB…some courses I have taken are IB which are weighted…I took all the science offered at my school so I took college forensics…sorry for the lack of info…thanks for your feedback

You would be stronger if you had taken calculus in high school. I got accepted as a cs major but my friend got accepted as undelcared (he wanted cs). Only real difference between us is that I took calc in highschool and he didn’t. He actually had a higher gpa and sat than me. Your courses throughout highschool might ultimately determine if you get accepted as an engineering major. You’ll at the least get accepted as undeclared or as your 2nd major if you put one down. If you show them your first year that you can get good grades in engineering and science classes then you should be good. Engineering is tough to get in. I know plenty of friends that had spectacular grades but didn’t get accepted into an engineering major- one got accepted as a chemistry major instead of a chemical engineering major and one got accepted as a physics major instead of a mechanical engineering major.

Best of luck to you though! You never know. I was told I would never get accepted as a cs major due to my low stats but here I am.

I took the ACTS Oct 25th and hoping I did raise my ACT to a 30. I will get the scores back, hopefully, Monday. I am taking Pre-Calc…thanks for your input and good luck to you!
