Please chance me - strong enough for RD?

I recieved a lot of encouraging messages on how GWU was totally worth taking the risk of Early Decision when you don't have the money, and I was totally set on taking that risk, but I called GWU today and seeing as how:
a) The need based package they would give me might include federal loans (on top of the private ones I have to take)
b) AP scores count as credit, but not As
c) the admissions person told me, nicely, that applying ED probably wouldn't be a good idea if money might be a problem.

So! Do you think I could please be chanced on whether my stats are good enough so that I have a shot in Regular Decision? I certainly hope so, and if you think ED would help me than I guess you can tell me.

And thanks for all the help everyone on this forum has given me recently!

GPA: 5.8/7.0 .... if cross multiplying with 4.0, then it comes out as 3.3.
- I don't know if that's the right way to convert
- I had a poor Freshman and Sophmore year, but they'll hopefully see an upward trend
- I hope GWU accept weighted GPAs, because I don't want to post an unweighted one. =(

Yes, I remeber you case distinctly (as we have almost identical situations). I would say that you have a good chance for regular admission despite your freshman year, though it might really depend on whether that 540 is writing. If it is I wouldn't be too worried; however, if it is not then you have an uphill battle ahead. Again, though I believe you have a good chance.

I still applied ED by the way even though I have an EFC of 0.

Damnit, can a 540 in math really hurt me that much? Hopefully my SAT IIs will balance it out, though...
and you said I had a good chance anyways, though, so thanks. I appreciate it. =)

I don't think I can apply ED because my EFC is too high, and my family actually can not meet it, lol.
