100 UW across the board in AP/IB classes? How did you manage that? Did sleep and having even the slightest bit of fun or relaxation appear on your weekly schedule?

A bit stressful senior year with applications and school and ECs but you manage. I still had time to get 8 hour sleeps/day, watch movies, hang out, and relax. Time management. =)

I don't think it's physically possible for you to have done 40 hrs work a wk every week plus all that other stuff...let alone LIVE...Even if you aren't BS'ing us, you can bet that's what adcomms will think. If I were you, I would trim the fat on that application. Umm and yeah, I don't know how you could possibly do all that...it's weird. I try to drive myself to the brink (nvr really works though lol), but what you seem to have done is altered time? Teach me?

lol. What's wrong with being an over-achiever. :p. The AP exams aren't truly as hard as some people make them out to be as long as you like the subject and it clicks with you right away. In life, you need only two things, one is motivation, and the other is perseverance. With those two, anything is possible. My fault. AP Psychology=This year. The other three self-study is 5s. Also, I'm majoring in economics, so I should naturally have done well in those this area plus I love the fascinating way in which mathematics can be tied to practical applications. Best of luck to everyone. More chances please.

I really don't know how schools would view my application in comparison to someone who might be great one-sided. I look around and everyone has all these amazing awards and etc which I never heard of and I do wonder how my application measures up against the rest of the HYPW pool. More chances please and thank you by the way.

are you kidding man? you have THE perfect applicatio. assuming its not fake. personally i dot see how u can do all of this when a day has 24 hours. you go to school 8 hours. work 8 hours, and sleep 8 hours. u leave time for NOTHING. but anyways, good luck

My impression is like some of the other posters...almost TOO perfect if that's possible. Why do you need HYPW? Sounds like you're ready for Wall Street now!

I would think, here's a driven person who has no fun. If so, when. I'm probably wrong so please forgive me, but that's what i'd think. It's almost likeeverything is just the way it's supposed to be, all those APs and IB too! Then to read 52 weeks a year, 40 hours a week job, and on top of that you're volunteering for 100 hours at a VA and 200 hours somewhere else? I'd ask, WHY? (obviously it's for the resume and that might not be so great). Not trying to be harsh, there are others like you on CC and you are AMAZING, I don't know how you do it... you are probably just brilliant?? Make sure your essays show your human side. Good luck!

In terms of altering time, I cannot do that :p. It's all about time management and learning to rise from a fall. Ex. In IB Physics HL, I got a 94 on a test after missing 4 days of school and taking the exam on the first back back but rebounded with 5 straight 100s for the rest of the quarter including the quarter exam that replaces your lowest grade which I also got a 100. My advice to you is to never despair after doing poorly at anything. Learning to rebound back stronger than ever on anything is in itself an invaluable life lesson regardless of where you go for college and where you go in life. More chances please. Thank you all.

In terms of how I can do that. If you look at my full application, my involvement in ECs really jump after my parents sold the family business at the end of my sophmore year and therefore allowing me to free up my time to do what I love. Believe me, if I still worked 40 hours a week, it would be impossible. Not to mention the fact that my summers were spent at the family business from 10a.m to 10pm every day. Sorry guys, my parent's never had the time to take me on vacations and etc but I did learn invaluble communication and management skills at the business. On my Harvard supplement, I talked about one of my community service involvement because I had no summer vacation/camp story to tell. Everyone has their thing in life. For me, it is striving to complete the partially finished American Dream. And no, I don't do any of these activities because I want to build a resume. As an IB diploma student, it is "advisable" to have 150 hours combined of ECs[Creativity, Action, and Service]. I easily have over that amount, meaning none of my excess time volunteering or fundraising will count since IB needs only 50 community service hours. :p Part of me wants to do things so I can spend my time on wisely. The other part of me wants to give something back to the community. More chances please. Thanks.
