Please Chance Me to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Wharton (Thank You)

I still need chances for Harvard, Princeton, Wharton, and Stanford. [Yale was a pleasant surprise] Thank you all.

sartorialiste, on your thread about French: take the extra year because colleges want 4 years of high school foreign language. More chances please.

I think that the strength of this application has been overexaggerated by other posters... OP, Your chances at HYPW are decent, but nothing on your application really stands out to me. Near perfect test scores are offset by your being an ORM, and even 2400s/36s/10 5's on APs aren't going to raise any eyebrows with HYPW (and your scores are just a nudge below that level, although to be fair, you are in the IB curriculum, which explains the small number of APs)

You've listed your participation in more than 8 clubs, and they are all over the place (not 8 science or 8 music or 8 volunteering etc). That is only going to make your application look disjointed and unfocused.

You're in debate, tennis, mathletes, academic team, and another 5 or 6 things. Any large regional/national level sports/science/debate/service awards you've won?

Wondering what country your parents came from. One of my D's friends is Philipino and she was advised to note on her applications that she was from an under-represented Asian group. I guess it worked since she got into MIT (her dream school) EA.

how can you get 100% for IB physics HL...that's crazy... the grade boundary for a 7 is 70%...

You're incredible. As everyone says, you have pretty much the perfect application and max chances anywhere you apply. You make me somewhat sad, but at least we know that people like you will be leaders in the future.

I think for applicants with your type of numbers the essay is that much more important. Combining great academic ability with a glowing personality is the magic formula IMO.

Yes, I have regional and state level awards in my various ECs. I opted out of going to national level competition because it takes too much time away from my education. I made sure my essays portray a different side of me, more importantly, the human side which is sometimes overlooked because of my academics. More chances please.

I'm pretty sure you'll get in, as long as you have a great essay and goo recs.

you held a job when you were 10 years old...?? ._.

Lol...you make everyone feel so bad hehe.

cough HE DOESN'T HAVE A 2400! AND THAT 790 IN CHEM!! REJECCT!!

yes. Family business everyday after school and all day long during the summer.

began with small stuff and slowly progressed. I think the family business was the most invaluable experience of my childhood. You can learn so much when you are given adult responsibilities at a young age. More chances please.

I don't really think you need more chances haha. What are you going to learn from more people praising you for being perfect? :|

You're doing fine. I think that you're definitely set for at least one of your schools.

more chances please. Thank you.

Wow man, don't you get it? If you don't get in, we're all screwed...You're extremely well-qualified. You CANT BE DENIED. For someone who's so seemingly brilliant, you sure don't catch on too quick...I vote troll.

what's troll

A broad term loosely used to indicate someone who is merely posting on an online forum out of fun and/or to irritate other members. Also, in this particular case, the term implies a fake/hypothetical application.

Wow, these boards are pretty harsh sometimes.
I don't know why someone would fake all their info (and most of it sounds pretty specific) for a joke.
I think we forget we're all in the same boat here
You look like you have a better shot than most, although being Asian probably neutralizes the fact that you're a first generation college.
