I will also be completing about three college courses from the local community college and hopefully make it up to German IV by Senior year through online classes. I predict my ACT score to be around 30. I have also won various awards in academic competitions. I am also involved in three clubs. Two since Freshman year and one since 8th grade. I am also self-studying one AP which I hope to pass since my school is very limited on those.

My two reach schools are privately run and have an acceptance rate of
1. 44.2%-looks at course rigor and recommendations but does not consider class rank or clubs
2. 66.8%

I'm really anxious so any advice or tips would be very helpful. Also what other universities could I get in with these courses and grades or is that being to hopeful? Also considering University of Chicago. Any realism in that?

bump?

Any help please? I’m being serious.

Why not just tell us the schools? Also the actual GPA won’t hurt either

Your grades are quite good. You haven’t elaborated your eca’s a lot here, but make sure that you do so in your application.

Since your reach colleges have acceptances in the 40s, you might have a good chance. I’d suggest applying EA to Chicago, if thats your first choice

Thanks guys!

My current GPA is 3.83 unweighted. Ecs are: Debate, Forensics, History Club, and Teen Library Committee. I’m in varsity for the first two, I will be a member for four years in History Club by graduation, and I’m president of the last club listed. I am also part of the National Forensics League and expect to become part of my school’s National Honors Society soon.

Besides University of Chicago these are my other schools I plan to apply to:
[Friends University](http://www.friends.edu/)
[Newman University](<a href=“404 - Page Not Found”>http://www.newmanu.edu/)

Latin and German! Both are great language choices, and you appear to be a solid candidate. Perhaps if you get an ACT ~32 to 33. Shouldn’t be too hard for someone of your intellect, just drill drill drill! And although most people in the midwest prefer the ACT, you should always try the SAT. You never know, and if you do poorly, colleges don’t need to know. The only thing that seems strange to me is you take Algebra 3x, and the 3rd it is remedial??

best of luck
