school in suburbia.
in my 4 years @ this school, only 1 person went to MIT but a few went to vanderbilt/emory/tulane. if that matters at all.

the reason that many of my clubs are only 2-3 years is because only recently have i had the opportunity to independently travel to my clubs.

-3 years of best orchestra related with Vanderbilt University and 1 year as assistant principal for 2nd violin. apparently there are student from KY, MS , and AL come to the rehearsals once a week.
-1 year in a different orchestra equally as competitive as the first one, also associated with Vanderbilt University (concert master)

Colleges don’t look at superscores for the ACT. So, for now, you’re stuck at a 30. If you can get it up, 2 points really will make a difference. You have lots and lots of clubs, but honestly, they’re not going to care. Pick the few that you really care about and have spent the most time on, and delete the other one year ones - they will be pointless to admissions. I think as of now, you’re in for Tulane and BU. If you get up to a 32, you’re in for Emory. Carnegie and Duke, good luck. Apply to one of them Early Decision - it will boost your chances.
