Hi,

I will be a senior this fall at a CSU and I am planning on applying to several MSW programs. My major is psychology and my cumulative gpa is a 3.4, while my psychology major is a 3.9. I joined the psychology club (my attendance has been spotty), and I have participated in several events and fundraisers put on by the club. I worked at a psychiatric hospital (as a food service worker providing meals to both inpatients and outpatients) but I had to quit when I transferred from the community college to the university. I have not yet taken the GRE but I think I will do fine except for the math portion. My goal is to work for the Dept. of Veteran's Affairs as an LCSW.

Here are my choices:

(not in any particular order except for USC)

--USC (first choice because of their program geared specifically toward the military/veterans)
--University of Washington
--UCLA
--CSU Long Beach
--CSU Sacramento
--SFSU
--Humboldt State

I really appreciate any insight. I know that I need more volunteer work. I had planned on doing a lot this semester but I had to take the whole semester off to have a major surgery that took five weeks to recover from.

Thank you
